Adoption is a permanent and a legal process where an individual or a couple assumes the responsibility of parenting another, usually a child from their legal or biological parent thereby transfers all legal rights of that child to the adoptive parents.

Documents including Birth Certificates, marriage license, child abuse clearance, personal references are amongst some of the documents which need to be furnished. At least one in-home visit with all the family members present is also mandated and a part of the report.
