What is Adoption Home Study Report-
The Adoption Home Study Report is a complete investigative report
created by a social worker or Agency about thesituations surrounding the family
and the circumstances revolving around the adoption. It reflects the views of
your family’s need for going through the adoption process. An Adoption HomeStudy Report evaluates the suitability and capabilityof the adoptive family. Birth
Certificates, marriage license, child abuse clearance, personal references
documents need to be furnished. One in-home visit with all the family members
present is also mandatory and a part of the Adoption Home Study Report.
Need and validity
of Home study Report-
The Home Study Report is mandatory before one starts looking
for a suitable child to adopt. One cannot adopt child/children without having
the HSR/Home study Report being done. Each Home study Report is valid for a period
of Two years and only one adoption.
